Does it place orders itself, or ask me first?
Your rule decides. Routine reorders under your threshold can go straight to the supplier; anything above it arrives as a drafted PO waiting for your approval.
Where do the stock levels come from?
From wherever yours live now — a spreadsheet, your accounts package, or your store system. It counts orders out and deliveries in against that same source, so there's one number, kept current.
What about seasonal or lumpy demand?
Reorder points are yours to set, per product — and you can change them any time. It flags products that keep tripping their point so you can raise it, rather than quietly over-ordering.
What happens when a delivery doesn't match the PO?
It counts the goods in line by line against what was ordered. Short, wrong, or damaged lines are flagged to you with the PO alongside — nothing gets booked in as correct when it isn't.
