These are the terms for the managed website subscription and any build work you buy from us. Plain English, because you should be able to read it once and know where you stand.

Who you're dealing with

What you get

A website designed and built by us, hosted by us, live on your own domain. The subscription covers hosting, security and software updates, and reasonable content changes — text, images, prices, opening hours, adding or amending pages. It does not cover building a second site, an online shop, a booking or payment system, custom software, or work on a website we did not build. Those are quoted separately.

What it costs

£99 a month, or £799 a year, plus VAT. Payment is by card, taken automatically on each renewal date. Prices are as shown at the time you subscribe. If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, by email or through the billing portal. Your subscription runs to the end of the period you've already paid for, and then stops. We don't charge a cancellation fee and we don't ask for notice.

We don't refund part-months or the unused part of an annual plan, because the cost of building and hosting the site is carried up front. If you're within 14 days of your first payment and we haven't put the site live, ask and we'll refund it.

What happens to the site if you stop

The subscription pays for the site to be built, hosted and looked after. If it ends, we take the site down and your domain stops pointing at it. Your domain is yours throughout and stays yours. On request within 30 days we'll give you a copy of your own content — your text, your photos, your logo — so nothing of yours is lost.

The design, layout and code we produce remain ours, and you have the right to use them for as long as your subscription runs.

Your side of it

You're responsible for the accuracy of what appears on the site — your prices, your qualifications, your accreditations, your contact details — and for having the right to use any material you give us. Tell us if something is wrong and we'll correct it. We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, misleading, or that we think would put us or you at risk.

Getting things changed

Email us. We aim to make routine changes within two working days. We're a small team, not a 24-hour desk, and we'll tell you honestly if something will take longer.

Uptime

We host on professional infrastructure and we work to keep your site up, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Occasionally a site needs to go down briefly for maintenance, or a provider we depend on has an outage.

If something goes wrong

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Beyond that, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose, and we're not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or lost data.

Ending it from our side

We can end the subscription by giving you 30 days' notice, or immediately if a payment fails and isn't put right, or if the site is being used for something unlawful. If we end it without cause, we'll refund the unused part of what you've paid.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.
